Trainspotting: Music from the Motion Picture Volumen 2


La película está basada en la novela Trainspotting de Irvine Welsh, quien aparece como Mikey Forrester, un punk que vive en una habitación con tan solo un colchón.

El título Trainspotting tiene un doble significado, por un lado hace referencia a un pasaje del libro en el que Begbie y Renton conocen a un borracho en la estación de trenes. Begbie y Renton usan la estación para hacer sus necesidades y el borracho les pregunta, intentando hacer un chiste, si están haciendo "trainspotting". Por otra parte hace referencia al argot escocés en donde el termino "trainspotting" significa buscar una vena para inyectarse droga. El término anglosajón "trainspotting" se utiliza para refererirse a la afición relativamente popular en el Reino Unido de observar trenes. Este hobby es similar al de la planespotting, pero con aviones en lugar de trenes.
